Hi everyone, I’m back to share two gift boxes featuring the gorgeous Couture Creations Lavender Love collection.
Many of you know that my favourite colour is purple and I can honestly say I have had a blast creating with this collection. Sometimes we want to give a special gift to that special someone – I like to tuck trinkets and chocolates into boxes and gift them.
Let me share a hexagonal shaped box – the base is made from cardstock and then decorated it with a gorgeous paper from the Lavender Love collection
To give an idea of the size of the box – each of the patterned paper squares measured 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” – inking the edges of each square before adhering to the hexagonal box.
Cut a scallop shaped circle in the same cardstock, scored in half and then adhered to the front/top of the lid and added a sentiment from the ephemera collection. I’ve weighted it down a little more by adding an oval shape and some twine which I’ve adhered under the embellishment cluster.
You all know that I like adding ‘bitsers’ into my embellishment clusters – crafting fibres, blooms, stamens, coils, pearls, and I’m loving the addition of the mulberry paper lavender stems – these packs are available in different colours and some of them have the addition of the long grasses as well. Fabulous to add to your creativity.
On this gift box I’ve used the lilac mulberry paper lavender stems. I’ve finished this gift box off with a butterfly, some small tiny 3 mm pearls, [pearls come in a variety of colours and give your creativity that something special] a peg and some gesso. All ready and waiting now for a special gift and hopefully it will bring a smile to the recipient.
My second gift box is in the shape of a cracker – we normally associate the gifting of crackers at Christmas – but I love to make and gift little boxes and to spend time making my gift look that little bit special. Using gorgeous papers from the Lavender Love collection, blooms, coils, crafting fibres, pearls, ephemera and 2-tone baby blue mulberry lavender stems, a little wool twine and some gesso – all ready. Another gift box that I’m sure will bring a smile.
