Hi everyone Fiona here today, with my special lace box decorated with the wonderful EARTHY DELIGHTS collection. I added Some lace/trim if you’d like to decorate yours and also I added some large half pearls for feet on the box.
Earthly delights cardstock measuring 7 7/8th inch x 11 5/8th inch.
Earthly delights patterned paper 2 x 6 1/2-inch x 1 7/8th inch.
2 x 2 7/8th inch x 1 7/8th inch
Take the 7 7/8th x 11 5/8th piece of patterned paper and score it at ½ inch and 2.5 inches on all four sides.
Fold all of the score lines on each short end, we are going to release the outside box from the middle rectangle ( please see video for this). Once all your corners are released, start to glue the box together. I started with the short ends applying all-purpose Art Glue on the outside of the tabs and attaching them to the inside of the box and making sure the corners are level. You should have the ½ inch fold still up. Add glue to the inside of the ½ inch fold and close it over the end of the box to create some structure, do this on both ends and the sides of the box .
You should have a completed box now for some decorating, I am going to use Quick dry Adhesive to attach 4 half pearls to the base of my box for feet and add some lace trim around the edge of the box
Bobbins
I used 12 bobbins for my box. Trace out or print the bobbin template onto the Patterned Earthy Delights cardstock and cut them out. If you wanted them thicker you could glue two sheets of paper together and them trace them on and cut them out, the choice is yours once you have cut and glued them all together you can whined your lace or ribbon onto the bobbins. Now it is readly to have them somewhere nice on your desk to use when needed or just to look pretty, I will have a free template over on my ko-fi site for you to use.
