Hi Crafters Paula here today with my Three projects in one! With these instructions you can make a Card, Brag Book or Mini Album. The measurements are included for all three projects. A quick, fun idea to get the most out of your papers & embellishments, plus, add a few photos & you have a wonderful gift…
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to make this as a card then just make one insert. If you would like to make it into a larger album you can add up to 5 inserts.
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO MAKE A 2 INSERT BRAG BOOK ALBUM
CARD VERSION – One insert
You will need one 12×12” sheet of pattern paper & one A4 sheet of cardstock to make the card version
MINI ALBUM VERSION – Five inserts
You will need two 12×12” sheets of pattern paper & 5.5 A4 sheets of cardstock to make the mini album
BRAG BOOK – TWO INSERT INSTRUCTIONS:
You will need one 12×12” sheet of pattern paper & 2.5 A4 sheets of cardstock to make the brag book
- Place the short side of the A4 black cardstock at the top of your trimmer & trim to measure 4”, turn so the long side is at the top of your trimmer & trim to measure 11”.
- Place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at
2 ¾”, 5 ½”, & 8 ¼”. Fold on the scorelines……valley fold, mountain fold & valley fold. You should have a piece that looks like an “M”. Repeat steps 1 & 2 to make one more
- Trim two pieces of black cardstock that measure 4 x 11”, fold both in half. These are your main insert bases
- Fold one of the “M” piece so it is closed & flat. Place tape on front & back of the closed “M” piece. Repeat for the second “M”
- Take the backing off the front & back of the “M” pieces & adhere one to the inside right of the main insert base, making sure it lines up even on the right side. Fold the cover of the main insert base over so it adheres to the “M” piece on the right. Repeat for the second main insert base.

- Trim a piece of black cardstock to measure 4 x 11 ½”. Place the long side at the top of your scoreboard & score at 5 5/8” & trim four pieces of pattern paper 05 to measure 2 5/8 x 3 7/8” & adhere to four of the small panels in the completed inserts. 5 7/8”. Adhere this piece to the front & back of your main insert bases so you now have a cover. IF YOU ARE MAKING THE CARD VERSION YOU CAN MISS THIS STEP
- Trim four white pieces of cardstock to measure 2 5/8 x 3 7/8” & adhere to the remaining four panels in the complete inserts. These are your photo matts
- Trim two pieces of left over 05 paper (or any pattern paper you have left) to measure 3 7/8 x 5 3/8”, adhere to the front & back of your brag book

TO MAKE THIS INTO A BRAG BOOK OR MINI ALBUM NOW IS WHEN YOU PUT THE RIBBON ON (as a closure) BEFORE THE COVER/BACK PAPER
- Glue the lace at the bottom of the brag book cover
- Use foam tape to adhere the bird cage from the die cuts pack over the lace
- Cut out some leaves from the 07 paper & adhere to the left of the bird cage
- Tie a bow with some organza ribbon & adhere to the top of the bird cage
- Cut out OUR STORY from the die cuts pack & adhere to the bottom of the bird cage
- Use some Distress Oxide Ink – Prize Ribbon & place some ink on a plastic bag, spritz with water then turn it over so you can place the wet ink onto a piece of white cardstock. When dry, stamp the butterfly image (CO729237 Butterfly 1) with black ink onto the inked background. Use the die in the Butterfly 1 set to cut out the butterfly
- Adhere the butterfly to the front of your brag book on the right of the birdcage
