Hi everyone, Michelle here and I’m back to share a little more creativity with the gorgeous Elegance collection and this time I’m sharing some small treat pouches to be used as Valentine’s Day treat pouches – each made from a 6”x 6” square piece of the Elegance patterned paper.
They are really quick and easy to make – a few score lines, two pieces of double side adhesive and you have just made yourself the basic pouch and then you can embellish it any way you choose. Tuck in a sweet treat – I’ve used single wrapped chocolates and cellophane bags of M&M lollies. One for the bag, one for me as I was filling them … ssshhhhhhh!
Let me share just how easy it is to make these …
Cut patterned paper 6” x 6”. Score at 2 ½” and again at 4 ¼”. Rotate paper and score at 1”. Now is the time to ink edges – all edges if you like to ink – I have left one pouch uninked and inked the others.
Fold back the 1” edge and this will be the reverse of the paper that you have used and will be showing as the cuff of the pouch. Adhere double sided tape along the bottom edge and on the wider piece of the reverse side of the paper to join the back together.
Now it’s time to add all those bitsers to embellish the front of your treat pouch. Flowers, crafting fibres, muslin, mesh, die cut foliage, ephemera, pegs, twine, hearts, pearls.
To finish off tuck those wee choccie treats inside and leave them for those you love.
