Hi everyone, Michelle here and I’m back to share a little more creativity with the gorgeous Elegance collection. A tag card and yes, you have seen this type of card from me before – but they look so different from one another using different collections. I’ve paired it up with a plain white envelope which I have embellished and looking at it you would never think it was a plain envelope to start with.
Let me share how I put this tag card together.
Using the small tag die from a previous release I have cut two orange cardstock tags and using a selection of two different patterned papers from the 6.5” paper pad I have cut out two tag shapes. Cut a 2”x2” piece of orange cardstock and score in half to join the two tags together to make a card that opens. Ink edges and adhere front and back layers of the patterned paper to the cardstock tag, but whilst doing that, at the same time don’t forget to add your orange cardstock hinge between the top layer of the tag and the bottom layer of the tag so that you can open it properly.
Once you have your tag card put together – layer and embellish until you are happy with the end result.
I’ve said before I’m in love with the salmon pinks and orange colour combinations in this paper collection. It’s a collection that you can keep on creating with and never tire of the dreamy colours.
Now for my envelope, I’ve used a plain old white envelope and cut two rectangles of patterned paper and adhered to the front and back of my envelope and then built up a few layers on the front or top of the envelope. I’ve cut out a butterfly using the same paper, some foliage – I’ve used the leaves die from the You are Adorable Layered sentiment cutting die set. I love adding layers of foliage. I’ve added hearts, o-rings and pearls – I call them my ‘danglies’, some twine, some crafting fibres, muslin, meshy lace, ephemera, a bloom and to finish off I have popped on some tiny self-adhesive pearls. A wee hint – it makes them a little easier to adhere if you use a pair of tweezers.
