Hi everyone, Michelle here today, so Christmas has now been and gone well and truly. But in one of the Christmas paper releases from our friends at Couture Creations, in particular the Winter Dazzle paper pad they had the most gorgeous ‘blue patterned papers’ and I thought to myself at the time, I’m keeping those aside for future creating [and I did]. I truly believe that there aren’t enough ‘blues’ in the creating world – that’s my personal opinion only. And these ‘blues’ patterned papers could be and have been used in something other than Christmas creativity.
Let me share with you a pinwheel tower card using these gorgeous papers.
Measurements for the base of the card
Cardstock 5 ¾” x 4 ¼” and score at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and at 3” [see photo].
Cut 3 pieces of cardstock 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”. [These make the extra panels to form the pinwheel tower].
Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper 2 ½” x 4”.
Cut 4 pieces of patterned paper 1 ¾” x 4”.
I’ve teamed these gorgeous papers up with the Homely Florals diecut ephemera set and put together a sympathy card.
When you have a closer look at this card you are going to see it’s what I would call a ‘lumpy bumpy card’ and this one is definitely not going to fold flat into an envelope.
Chances are I’m going to be making a gift bag for this card.
