Hi everyone, Mary here today with a special Double Swing card – A very pretty stand up card using the Australia – The Lucky Country collection . Here is my tutorial and I hope you like my creation, please share if you have created one.
Instructions :
Cutting
White Cardstock: 1 x 6” x 10” Cut and score as per diagram. Fold all score lines with bone folder.
Battle Fatigue Cardstock:
- 2 x 5¾” x 1¾” [ for C shaped sides]
- 1 x 3¾” square [For inside centre panel]
- 4 x 3¾” x 1¾” [For inside swing panels]
- 2 x 3¾” x ¾” [These are for the top and bottom horizontal strips.] These 2 pieces can be cut from the piece that you will have left after cutting your C shaped sides.
- 4 x ¾” square [ Small square mats at top and bottom of card.]
Patterned Paper – Australia The Lucky Country
- 2 x 5½” x 1½” [ For C shaped sides]
- 1 x 3½” square [ for inside centre panel
- 4 x 3½” x 1½” [For inside swing panels]
- 2 x 3½” x ½” [These are for top and bottom horizontal strips] These 2 strips can be cut from the piece that you will have left after cutting your C shaped sides.
- 4 x ½” square [Small square mats at top and bottom of card.]
To Cut C shaped panels
Cardstock. Mark at ¾” from each end on the long side. From these marks, cut out a 1” panel. Creating a C shape. Keep 1”piece for small top and bottom horizontal mats.
Paper: Mark at ½” from each end on long side. From these marks, cut a 1” piece creating a C shape. Keep off cuts for small top and bottom horizontal strips.
Assembly
- Adhere all patterned pieces to corresponding cardstock pieces.
- Lay card out flat and adhere all pieces to corresponding shapes on card.
- Close card and adhere remaining 2 pieces to centre swing panels.
- Decorate further if desired with word sentiment or flower embellishments.
