Hi everyone, Mary here with a special Box Stepper card created with the Vintage Tea collection – I hope you enjoy my creation and let us know if you create one as well.
CUTTING
Cardstock:
- 1 x 11¼” x 6 and 1/8” [Card Base] Score at 2¼”, 4½”, 6¾” and 9”
- 4 x 5 and 1/8” square. [Small Boxes] Score all sides at 1½”
- 1 x 3 and 7/8” square. [Lid for card base] Score all sides at ¾”
Patterned Paper: [ I chose to use the pink side of both pieces of paper.]
- 5 x 2”x 5 and 7/8” from each of the 2 pieces of patterned paper. [That makes 10 pieces altogether]
- 12 x 2”x 1 and 3/8” [ use whichever side of the patterned paper that you like] This is for the outside of the small boxes. You only use patterned paper on 3 sides of each box.
TIP: I found it easier to place the patterned paper on the top and sides of all boxes and lids before I actually put the boxes together.
- 1 x 2¼” square [ top of lid for card]
- 4 x 2¼” x 5/8” [sides of the lid for the card.]
Ribbon: Cut 2 x 6”from each shade of pink ribbon.
ASSEMBLY
- Burnish all score lines on all pieces.
- Adhere patterned paper to both sides of base card. [I chose to use Vintage Rose no. 7 for the inside]
- Make your small boxes and adhere your patterned paper to 3 sides of each.
- Make lid for card base and adhere paper to the top and sides.
- Glue the plain side of the first small box and firmly adhere to the bottom of the second panel.
- Position the second box on top of this box with the unpatterned side facing to the right.
- adhere glue on the unpatterned side of paper .
- Fold up the next panel of the card and adhere to the second box.
- Lay card flat and make sure that the box is firmly attached to the base.
- Follow the same procedure with the remaining 2 boxes.
- The last box should be level with the top of the card.
- Fold each of the ribbons in half and adhere ends together. Adhere together to create a fancy bow.
- Attach the bow to the top of the lid and add the bling to finish.
