Tutorial by Mary – DO WHAT YOU LOVE CARD
CUTTING of card stock
Green Cardstock:
1 x 6”x 11” [Card Base]. Score at ½”, 1”, 1½”, 2”, 2½”, 8½”, 9”, 9½”, 10” and 10½”
1 x 6”square [ This is the top of card]
1 x 4¼”square. Cut a 4” square piece from the centre of this piece [Frame for card top]
1 x 2½” x 5 and 7/8” [ Panel for the inside of card]
The Lucky Country Paper:
Gum Leaves…1 x 5¾” square
Wood pattern…1 x 5¾”square
Wattle paper… 1x 2¼” x 5 and 5/8”
Fussy cut kookaburra from Patterned paper no.7. I think that any of the animals on this sheet would work.
STAMPING
Using the black outline ink pad, randomly stamp the music notes from the Vintage Tea collection over the wood patterned piece. Adhere this to the centre of the card base. Stamp the music notes from the guitar stamp set to the wattle paper. Adhere this to the matching green cardstock. Using the outline ink and the blending card,stamp the guitar and frame. Carefully fussy cut the guitar and colour. Cut the words into strips and put aside to be used on the card.
ASSEMBLY
- Score and burnish all score lines.
- Adhere the gumleaf paper to the 6”square green cardstock. Cut a 4”square from the centre of this piece. Attach the 4¼” frame over the top of this.
- Attach the wattle strip to the 2nd last concertina of the card base toward the bottom.
- Attach the Kookaburra to the wattle piece and any words that you want to use to the wood piece of paper.
- Attach the top to the card base and finish off by placing Guitar and remaining words to the card front.
- Attach Ivory card to the back of card for writing on.
