Hello everyone, Mary here today with a Special Double Easel card created with a previous collection from Couture Creations. Using Twin Tip Alcohol ink markers to colour the image, this special card will be hit with a young lad.
Instructions
CUTTING
White cardstock: 1 x 12”x 8½”
- On the 8½” side cut in half at 4¼”. [Set 1 piece aside for the card base]
- Cut the remaining piece on the 12”side at 6” [ Set 1 piece aside for the easel front]
- Cut remaining piece on the 4¼” at 2 and 1/8” [ small easel mechanism] set aside.
- Cut the left over piece on the 6”side at 3” [Small easel front]. Discard remaining piece of cardstock.
Mocha Cardstock:
- 2 x 4 and 1/8” x 5 and 7/8”
- 2 x 2 and 7/8” x 2”
Earthy Delights paper [Feather side]
- 2 x 3 and 7/8” x 5 and 5/8”
- 2 x 2 and 5/8” x 1¾” Ink all edges with Cappuccino inkpad
Scoring
- Score the long card base at 3”and 6” [Large Easel]
- Score the 6”x 2 and 1/8” on the long side at 1½” and 3” [Small Easel]
STAMPING
Using the Black Outline ink pad and Blending paper , stamp all the shapes in the “Boys will be Boys” stamping set. Fussy cut these and colour. Set aside. Stamp the sentiment words.
ASSEMBLY
- Adhere all patterned pieces to corresponding cardstock.
- Adhere 1 of the 4 and 1/8” x 5and 7/8” pieces to the card base. The second piece to the front of the easel.
- Adhere 1 of the the 2 and 7/8” x 2” pieces to the inside of the small easel, the second piece to the front of the small easel.
- Adhere the small easel to the card base, approximately ½” from the front edge.
- Glue chosen pieces to front of card as desired. Using double sided foam dots adhere the skateboard to small easel to form a stopper.
- I chose to cut the words into separate words. Ink all edges, mat on to Mocha cardstock.
- Using double sided adhesive foam dots attach words to card front.
