HI everyone, Mary here today with my Elegant Explosion Star card created with the Couture Creations ELEGANCE Collection of papers.
here is my tutorial step by step instructions ….
Cut 2 x 6”x 12”Pieces from the Ice Crystal cardstock. [ This is the base card]
Score the 1st card – at 3” / 6” / 9”. Burnish valley, mountain , valley, mountain.
Score the 2nd – at 3”, 6”and 9”. Now score from outer corner to centre score line on the top and bottom. Do this for both sides. [ This is the inner card]
Burnish all score lines. Make sure that all corners are sharp.
Cut 1 x 12” x 1½” and a second piece of 1¼” x 1½”. Join these 2 together. [ This is for the belly band]
Cut 1 x 1”x 3” and score at ½”, 1”, 2”and 2½” [ This is for pop out piece in centre of card]
MIRROR BOARD
Cut 2 x 5¾” x 2 ¾” [ Front outside panels]
Cut 4 x 3¾” square. Cut 2 of these in half diagonally. Cut the remaining 2 into quarters diagonally.
ELEGANCE PAPER
Cut 2 x 5½” x 2½” [ Front outside panels]
Cut 4 x 3¼” square. Cut 2 of these in half diagonally, and the remaining 2 into quarters diagonally.
Adhere all pieces of Elegance paper to matching Mirror board pieces.
Cut 1 x 2¼”circle from Ice Crystal and 1 from silver mirror board.
Cut 1x 2”circle from Ice Crystal and 1 from the elegance paper.
ASSEMBLY
Trim a very small section off each 6” end of inner card. Glue left section of the inner card a fraction below the edge of the base card. Now do the same on the right hand side.
Adhere all pieces of Cardstock and paper to matching sections on card. Make Belly Band. Join in centre front and attach the larger Ice Crystal circle and Elegance circle over the join.
Fold the pop out piece valley, mountain, mountain, valley and attach this over the centre fold of card. Stamp “SPECIAL THANKS” on the 2”Ice Crystal piece using the stamp press and Golden Black ink. Attach this to the silver circle and then to the pop out mechanism.
Use wink of Stella to bling up the flower on the front of the belly band.
