Hello everyone, Mary here today sharing my Special folded 3 Peaks card, created with the papers from the Earthy Delights with cardstock and adding some stamped images from the new release Street Smarts Collection. While I was making this card I couldn’t stop thinking about the recent Tour De France. I hope you have fun creating this special folded card.
CUTTING:
MOCHA Cardstock :
- 1 x 10” x 7” [score at 5”]
- 1 x 3” x 1” [ score at ½”, 1”, 2”, 2½”]
- 1 x 7” x 1” [score at ½”, 3 ½”, 6 ½” ]
- IVORY Cardstock:
- 1 x 4½” square. Cut in half diagonally.
- 1 x 1″and 7/8” x 6 and 1/8”. Cut in half diagonally. Mark from top on sloped side at 1½”. Cut from this mark to top corner. Place the 2 halves together [textured sides facing each other]. Using scissors, cut the other half to match. This will be the front inside panels.
EARTHY DELIGHTS paper:
- 2 x 4½” square. [ If using non directional paper, you will only need to cut 1]. Cut in half diagonally. This will be for the front outside panels.
- 1 x 3”x 6 and 1/8”. Cut in half diagonally. Mark from the top on the sloped side at 1″ and 7/8”. Cut from this mark to the top corner. Place the 2 halves together,patterned sides facing, with scissors cut the other half to match. This will be the centre front panels.
Using the Ivory card and Outline ink pad – stamp the Cyclist stamp three (3) times. Die cut and colour in with Alcohol Ink Markers. Die cut 1 x 2” circle from the Earthy delights [ brick side] and adhere 1 of the coloured cyclists. Cut a second slightly bigger circle and adhere to the back of the Earthy Delights circle. Stamp with the brown pearlescent ink sentiment “Be the hero of your own story” on to a scrap of ivory and fussy cut. Adhere to a piece of Mocha cardstocke and fussy cut again.
TO MAKE CARD:
On 7” side of 10”x 7” Mocha cardstock, mark both sides at 5” from the bottom. Using a pencil, lightly draw a line across the card connecting both these marks. Place a mark at 2½” from both sides on this line. Cut from the outside edges of the card to this mark, then cut diagonally from the 2½” mark to the top centre score line. Score from bottom of centre score line to the 2½” mark at top of card and again from bottom centre score line to outside 5”mark. Do this on both sides. Burnish all score lines. Make sure that the arrow point at the bottom of the card is nice and even.
Adhere all cut paper pieces to the front of the card. Using the 3”x 1” piece, burnish the score lines and adhere to the centre fold of the card. Adhere 1 of the stamped cyclists to this piece. Adhere the other 2 cyclists to the front outside panels of the card. Foam dot the words to the front outside panels of the card.
BACK OF CARD:
Burnish all score lies with bone folder on the 7” x 1” piece of Mocha. Adhere to the back of the card. This will stabilise the card when open. Glue the back of the ivory card and slip up under the 7”x 1”piece and adhere to the card.
