Hi Everyone Kerrie here Guest Designing for Couture Creations! I have created a clean and simple Christmas card using the Merry Christmas and Holly Sprig Dies from the Deck The Halls Collection along with some Alcohol Inks, Yupo Paper and Mirror Board.

Instructions

I created a background using Adhesive Yupo Paper and a mix of Jade Metallic, Khaki Glitter and Citrus Alcohol Inks along with Blending Solution to get the inks flowing and the Blower to move the inks around. you can see the glitter and metallic showing through in the image above, I love the shimmer these inks create. Once my background was dry I die cut 4 sets of Holly Sprigs, using Quick Release Die Paper so that the die cut doesn’t stick in the die especially as I used adhesive Yupo Paper. I also used the Metal Shim to give my cutting sandwich more pressure so as to cut through the adhesive layer. I then cut a Merry Christmas Sentiment from Gold Mirror Board and again used Quick Release Die Paper so that the sentiment pops straight out of the die. I also cut 4 x Holly Sprigs in Vellum to add a soft layer to the holly sprigs. I adhered the Vellum Holly Springs with the Glue Pen just adding glue to the stem and centre of the holly as I wanted them to not lay flat so there was dimension to my card. I layered my base card using a layer of Gold Mirror Board and then a layer of White Cardstock which I mounted on Foam Tape to give dimension. then finished off my card with some Couture Creations Adhesive Gemstones.
