Welcome again! Christmas is here (in the craft world anyway). These elements are from Couture Creation’s new collection Deck the Halls. I created this card around a colour theme of red and gold. As the poinsettia’s are a new concept of outline stamps, my colouring skills were again challenged using the alcohol markers – a long way to go, but I’m enjoying the learning.
I stamped out the image (a few times just in case I needed a few goes at getting the colouring right).
Once that was done I added a bit of glitter glue at the tips of the petals then fussy cut it out. While I had the stamp on the stamp press, I created a background sheet with it by heat embossing it with Couture Creations Embossing Stamp Pad, Embossing Powder and Multi-Pupose Heat Tool ~ The sentiment was also heat embossed.
I found an simple oval foiling die in my stash for the background so I used that. I blended a few areas with the red dye ink on the inside of the oval to give a ‘softer’ look.
Once all the elements were done, I just added either cardboard or foam behind some of the elements and mounted it all.
