Craft Glue Resist with Jowilna Nolte
“One of my favourite things ever to do with art craft glue is to create a resist effect. It’s a simple technique where colours and patterns can be blotted out to create an interesting effect and finish. To showcase the glue resist I created an art journaling page with the amazing Couture Creations All Purpose Art Craft Glue.
I started off by adding some colour, stencilling patterns and stamping onto the background of an old sheet of book paper. Then over the design, I added a thin layer of craft glue applied with an old credit card and I left it to dry completely.
After the glue dried, I used a thin layer of black acrylic paint, painted across the entire page and then wiped the excess off using a baby wipe.
The craft glue resists the black paint, and you can simply wipe it clean to reveal the layers underneath.
