Hello, its Fiona here again on the blog today we will be making an Interactive slide card, created with Couture Creations Earthy Delights collection so sit back and watch along on my YouTube tutorial and get all your measurements below.
Measurments for the
Base:
Card base measuring 5’1/2 x 9’3/4 inches score at 4’1/4 and 8’1/2
Contrasting coloured card for your mat 4’1/8 x 5’3/8 inches
Top of card Earthly delights collection 4’ x 5’1/4 inches
Insert
For the slide base piece measuring 4’1/8 x 5’ score at ¼ inch on both long sides
Top of the slide 3’1/2 x 5’ score at ¼ inch on one of the long sides.
A piece of earthly delights paper measuring 2’5/8 x 4’ ¾
For the inside of the slide, you will need a piece of white cardstock 3’ x 4’3/4 in
Side pocket
Earthly delights paper measuring 1’ x 5’ ¼ in
Instructions
Cut the papers using the cutting dimensions given and score your card where directed as above.
We will use our 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 contrasting cardstock and the 4’ x 5 ¼ in Earthly Delights, with the embossing folder, emboss the Earthly Delights piece of card. Attach the embossed piece on top of the contrasting piece of card then we attach both piece to the front of the card, you can also go ahead and emboss the card measuring 1’ x 5’1/4 your 3’1/2 x 5’ piece and your 2’ 5/8 x 4’ ¾ pieces.
Now we will crease along the fold lines on the pocket fold line, taking a bone folder and run it along the edge of the fold over (have a look at the Video if you need more explanation) we can now go ahead and glue/tape our 1’x 5’1/4 piece to the front of the pocket.
Let’s work on the slide part, this will be our piece measuring 4’1/8 x 5’ and it will be scored on both ends on the long side, attach one of the folds onto the inside front of the card, just before the fold line for the middle of the card, this will be on the inside front cover (go to video if you need help). Attach the 3’1/2 x 5’ embossed piece that has a fold on one of the long side, attach it to the other fold on the 4 1/8 x 5 ( attach both folds on top of each other centre your embossed Earthly Delights card stock that measures 2’ 5/8 x 4 ¾ on top of the other embossed piece
Glue down each side of the pocket making sure that we don’t have any glue going inside the pocked that might stop our slide from working. (See video for more info). Using abone folder score a line where the card will open and fold it back. Now we can add our white cardstock to the inside, decorate the card. I used some dies I cut earlier, Sending Love hot foil and stamp set CO728852 , I used Hello Friiend. H ave a great day. Just a note I also die cut the Earthly Delights stamp and die decorative pots CO728896, in contrasting colours red and green and stamped the pots with Card deco ink Green Grass CDEIPU021 on the red one. I also cut out a filigree tag to use as well, attaching these using Adhesive foam dots CO728912 I also used the frames from the Sending Love Sentiment dies. Piercing a hole in the card to attach brads to sentiments.
