Hi everyone Fiona here today for Couture Creations. Couture Creations have 5 new Vintage Bloom Stamp and Colour sets they are Tulips, Peony, Daffodils, Rose, and Sunflower they are all beautiful. I have chosen to work with Tulips stamp set CO728577 today. I am colouring the image with Couture Creations ALCOHOL INKS. I have all the colours listed below:
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Stamp your image onto your card using the Couture Creations outline ink pad black
- Using Couture Creations alcohol ink start to fill in your stamped design, I started with my basket first with Couture creations Alcohol inks Honey Espresso and Tangerine
- Next was the butterfly creating dark areas with the Caribbean Alcohol Ink , closest to the body of the butterfly and along the edges of the wing
- For the leaves , coloured in with the Kiwi Alcohol Ink , then I added darker areas in the folds of the leaves and where I though there should be darker leaves using a different shade of green in a darker colour, I painted the stems of the tulips (I added a little blue into my mix of greens to create a darker green.
- Painting the tulips, with Ruby Alcohol Ink , Wine Alcohol ink , as an all over colour with blending solution to create lights and darks(when you add blending solution onto your brush it will lighten in the areas that you have a lot of it this creates depth and varied colour) Adding some green Alcohol ink at the very bottom also added Tangerine Alcohol Ink to the Stayman of the tulip on the left hand side.
- Finally, adding some shadow to the bottom of the basket so that it didn’t look like it was floating into space with Espresso Alcohol Inkand blending solutions making sure that the colour was more saturated at the edge closest to the basket, lightened as it moved away from the basket.
