Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl here.

Couture Creations has a brand new collection, called ” BLUES BY YOU” and today I am sharing a card I made with it. Blues by You is a beautiful range of papers, dies, and stamps. Choosing what to create with took far longer than the creation itself. This is a simple card to make, yet has that touch of elegance and glamour.

I began with a white card base, and cut a piece of the vellum paper to fit. Just to clarify, vellum paper is thicker than regular vellum. We all know vellum is difficult to stick down without the adhesive being seen. For this purpose I used the Couture Creations All Purpose Art Glue. Not a drop could be seen.

To decorate this card, A place a piece of ephemera from collection, and using the Glitter Markers, highlighted the birds and flowers. I used matching colours for each item.

For the greeting, I used the “Birthday Wishes” stamp from the Blues by You – Celebrate Stamp and Die set. I stamped it on white cardstock, then cut on an angle either side of the greeting. I popped the two pieces up using double sided foam tape. Lastly, I added a ribbon bow from my stash.

Very quick and easy, and anyone who isn’t a cardmaker, would never guess just how quick it was to make.
