Welcome to a new day and a fantastic and easy to make card! Let’s get right into it…

I started with a contrasting base, then added my double-sided design paper from the Blooming Friendship collection, leaving about 1/8 inch all around. Then taking some scraps, I cut a strip of card (that matched the base). It needs to go all the way across from edge to edge of the design paper. This strip is almost 3/4 inch high, but it can be whatever height you prefer.

Next I cut a piece of design paper to fit inside that cardstock strip. Again keeping about 1/8 inch border top and bottom. Then I glued it down a little lower than half way down the card.

Lastly I took one of the cut-aparts from the Blooming Friendship collection and die cut it using the Modern Essentials Nesting Bracket Frames Cut, Foil, and Emboss Die set. If you have this set, great. If not, another die from your stash will work. (I didn’t foil the die cut, just ran it through my Go Power & Emboss machine to cut out the shape.) This is another way to make your supplies go further. The cut apart was too big for what I wanted, so I made it work for me. I added the die cut to my card using foam tape for dimension. Last of all, I used the same pearl drops across the strip I’d added earlier for the final touch.
