Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl here.
Today I have created some quick and easy cards This one can be made using leftover scraps, or you can take a fresh piece of design paper – whichever you have available. I began with a white card base, then cut a slightly smaller piece of contrasting colour for the Earthy Delights patterned paper. You don’t need to add all the layers but I did, I think it makes the design pop that little bit more. Put that piece aside for now.
Next cut down a piece of white swiss dots cardstock to be slightly smaller again. (Do not glue anything down at this point.) then for this card, I cut three consecutive pieces, keeping the design in the correct order.
Then distressed the sides of each strip, ensuring to keep them in order. This will depend on the design paper you’ve chosen, but for the one I am using, I wanted to keep them consecutive. Glue the three strips down on to the swiss dots cardstock card. Glue that onto the contrasting card we put aside earlier.
Next I took a piece of white ribbon, and wrapped it around the front of the card. I had also found a green piece of much narrower ribbon that contrasted perfectly, so added that on top of the off-white ribbon. I also made a bow with the green and secured that down. Last of all, I added my a sentiment greeting using double-sided foam tape.
I don’t know about you, but I follow videos better than reading instructions. To that end, I’ve made a quick video to step you through what I did.
