Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl with you here today. You may already know I am very inexperienced when it comes to scrapbooking layouts. This will be my fourth ever, I believe. However, I’ve given it my best shot, and hope you like it.
For this layout I’ve used the new collection from Couture Creations Australia’s Natural Beauties. I have used a combination of the 12 x1 2 and 6.5 x6.5 paper packs. I’ve used one complete 12×12 sheet for the base, then tore a contrasting 12 x 12 piece on the diagonal.
Next I took two paper designs from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pack, ensuring the one showing the map of Australia (C0728864) was one of them. Placing that in the centre of the layout. The second sheet I wanted to enhance my photograph. I was very privileged to attend an indigenous cleansing ceremony earlier this month, and the elder undertaking the ceremony gave his permission for me to photograph him. I thought it perfect for this layout. I added some contrasting pearls to two corners to give it some balance. Lastly, I added some ephemera around the edges, as well as some of the sayings, which was also from the ephemera.
