Hello everyone. It’s Cheryl here with another reasonably simple card that packs a punch. This one uses the gorgeous new Blues by You collection.
For this card, there is minimal colouring required. I began by stamping the image onto blending paper using the Stamp and Colour Outline Ink Pad. This is specifically for colouring with alcohol markers. It will stop the image from spreading as you colour. Once I’d finished colouring the image, I added Glitter Markers on certain flowers in the image (some clear, some blue) to give them some sparkle. I stamped out the greeting, then mounted it on a scrap of navy cardstock. After playing around with positioning for a while, I decided on the unusual angle you see in the image. The card still looked a little bare at this point, so I stamped the Vintage Corner Border in two opposite corners, using a matching colour ink – the same ink I used on the greeting.
Taking another piece of paper, this one from the Blues by You Collection, I put a strip down the left side of the image. This gave it more interest. It was at this point I noticed some ink smudges on the card. I used blue pearls to cover them up. (There are no mistakes in crafting!) That was it. This card didn’t take long, with the longest part being the colouring – in particular, deciding what colours I wanted to use.
